Refund and Return Policy

At Atlas Industrial Containers, we are committed to transparent and fair return practices. This Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through our website and is publicly accessible without login, registration, or personal information requirements.

This policy applies to both defective and non-defective products, including general return reasons such as buyer’s remorse, project changes, or ordering errors.

1. 30-Day Return Window

We accept return requests within 30 calendar days from the date of confirmed delivery.

To qualify for a return, the product must:

  • Be unused and not installed
  • Remain in the same condition as delivered
  • Not be structurally modified, welded, drilled, painted, or altered
  • Be free of additional damage beyond normal inspection handling
  • Have a return request submitted within 30 days of delivery

Return eligibility applies to both defective and non-defective products, unless otherwise stated below.

2. Non-Defective Returns (Buyer’s Remorse)

We understand that project needs may change. If you no longer require the container or ordered the incorrect size or type, you may request a return within the 30-day window.

For non-defective returns:

  • The customer is responsible for all return freight costs
  • The product must be returned in original condition
  • Original outbound delivery charges are non-refundable

No restocking fees are charged.

3. Defective or Damaged Products

If a product arrives damaged, structurally compromised, or materially different from the agreed specifications:

  • The issue must be reported within 7 calendar days of delivery
  • Customers must provide clear photos and a written description
  • Delivery damage should be noted on the bill of lading when possible

Upon review, we may offer one of the following remedies:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Partial refund
  • Full refund

Return freight arrangements for confirmed defective products will be coordinated appropriately.

4. Custom or Modified Equipment

Custom-built, special-order, or modified containers (including structural alterations, added doors, refrigeration modifications, electrical installations, branding, or paint customization) are non-returnable unless they are defective or do not match approved specifications.

This is due to the specialized nature of customized industrial equipment.

5. Return Authorization Process

All returns require prior written approval.

Once approved, a Return Authorization (RA) number will be issued along with return instructions.

Returns sent without authorization may be refused.

6. Return Shipping & Freight

Due to the size and weight of industrial shipping containers:

  • Return freight must be arranged through licensed and insured transport providers
  • Customers are responsible for safe loading and accessibility at pickup
  • Return freight costs are the responsibility of the customer for non-defective returns

We recommend coordinating with our logistics team to ensure proper transport handling.

7. Inspection & Refund Processing

Once the returned product is received:

  1. The equipment will undergo inspection
  2. Condition and eligibility will be verified
  3. Refund approval will be confirmed

Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 business days after inspection approval.

Refund amounts may exclude:

  • Original outbound shipping charges (for non-defective returns)
  • Any documented damage incurred after delivery

No restocking fees are charged.

8. Exchanges

We accept exchanges within the 30-day return window, subject to product availability.

If the replacement product differs in price:

  • Price differences will be invoiced or refunded accordingly
  • Freight differences will apply

9. International Orders

International returns follow the same 30-day eligibility window.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Return freight
  • Customs documentation
  • Import/export duties
  • Any related governmental fees

Refunds will be issued after inspection and approval.
